Fall Wrangler Collection

Press release: Escaped critters spark emergency roundup before geocaching event

Inspired by Fall Fest 2026's "Get your stampede on!" mega event, CLHQ joined forces with Max the Mountie to catalogue a wrangling mission based on a very real division of the Treasure Troops corps that use new Line-tech to keep geocaches protected!

With this set you may need to help Max wrangle adult and their baby critters back to their home before they can cause maintenance headaches for the geocaches they're loitering around. How many critters can you wrangle and save, and how much of an impact can you have as you fight the Blue with your successful wrangles?

At Fall Fest 2026 Mega event...

Attendees were able to practice their wrangling by tracking down and looping in all the critters they could find around the event premises, and earn the set of critter cards with a bonus! Funds from purchases of the Ultimate Cache Wrangler Bundle help support the free fun of this mega event mission, and future missions!

Questions and answers...

What are critters?
Critters introduce a new card attribute - the Critter attribute! Future cards (and updated past cards?) with the critter attribute can be wrangled by Max! Max acts as a type of 'storage' card for Critters. Any cards stored on Max keep are kept as any stacks they were wrangled in, so if you wrangle any critters that aren't part of a stack already wrangled, you'll need to keep track of them as separate. Travellers that are wrangled can be re-Played to an Adventure by paying their initial Join cost.
What do critters have to do with geocaching?
Ever had a geocache go missing only to find it moved away from GZ and gnawed through requiring a brand new container? Animals can be cute, but they can also be relentless! Max is a special helper whose great wrangling abilities to help keep geocaches safe from possible critter-shenanigans!
What's the benefit of critters?
Any number of critter cards can be used in a deck. The continual bonus earned with Max the Wrangler allows for repeated wrangling of sets of 5 critters to stick it to the Blue!

But be aware that this bonus with Max only works while you're in Canada! Nonetheless, (Adult) critters can stil be scored themselves in any region if they are reunited with their babies.

Reminder: Stacks move using the abilities and costs associated with the top card of the stack, unless otherwise noted. Baby critters stack to the bottom and adult critters stack to the top.
